Message from Natasha Blakley, School For Human Rights Principal
Dear School for Human Rights Community,
I am honored and humbled to introduce myself as the Principal of The School for Human Rights. I am humbled to join this community which is known for its excellence and service to children.
Before coming to The School for Human Rights, I began my career as a Special Education and Social Studies teacher and have since served as Assistant Principal, and most, recently as Director of Continued Improvement.
I am motivated by a shared purpose and relentless commitment to putting children and their needs at the center of my work. It is apparent that this is a shared belief at The School for Human Rights, a school with a mission to develop the academic, social and economic growth of all students so they become self-motivated, intellectual, and socially engaged world citizens.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year of inquiry and learning. As we embark upon accelerating learning and instruction and advancing equity for all, I look forward to partnering with families as equals, including voices and input from our entire staff, and providing inclusive and rigorous instructive to every child.
I’m looking forward to a long list of firsts as your principal - the first day of class, the first music productions, the first competitions, the first athletic game of the year, and many others. I want to share and celebrate your experiences and support you in my role as a school leader.
In closing, as we embark on another successful year, I heartily welcome your conversation and positive input throughout this year. I look forward to working with each and every one of you this coming year.
Principal I.A., The School for Human Rights
